Living with art
A private collection
A personal tale
It was 1999 when we bought our first sculpture and since then many more artworks have entered our home. Living with so much art is fascinating as every single one speaks to me in a different way. Some remind me of people, others of places and events. One or two make me laugh and others challenge me in more serious ways. And the best pieces affirm what matters to me in life. Over the years I’ve shown friends and friends of friends around our art, our home.
I do these “show and tell” visits in the hope to inspire others to go out there and buy contemporary art. Engaging with art is part of being alive now, it’s making connections with other people and how they see this world we all live in. It really offers so much more than just filling walls, it adds another layer to your home, your life.
Collection Stories
Join my mailing list if you like to hear from me with stories about collecting art. It’ll only be the occasional email about where I go, what I see, who I talk to and what I choose to buy or not- and why.
Advice
Yes, the art world is huge and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I’m happy to show you ways how to start navigating it in the hope you find something you like and is also affordable for you.
Talks
Get in touch if you’d like to book one of my talks and see my collection and hear my stories about my experiences. I also take my talk elsewhere, illustrating my talk with a slideshow.
